Among many other relevant projects in the area, we are the engineering company responsible for the design and monitoring of San Antonio Tailings Storage Facility, owned by Kinross Brazil Mining, successor to the Rio Paracatu Mining (RPM). Located in the city of Paracatu / MG, this dam may be considered the largest in Brazil in terms of compacted landfill volumes and tailings storage.

Since 1987, twenty phases of dam lifting were built, totalling more than 40 million cubic meters of compacted landfill, which allowed the RPM / Kinross the storage of about 600 million cubic meters of tailings.

In these 29 years of operation there has never been an incident whatsoever, and the company has never had to stop its operation because of any problem with the dam. In addition, monitoring, maintenance and operation of the dam are made with attention to detail. It all made FEAM, the environmental agency of the State of Minas Gerais, to be consideredt as state reference standard in tailings dams.
